Janis DeWitt

President and CEO

Meet Janis, a seasoned Software Engineer with over two decades of industry experience. Hailing from the picturesque mountains of Western Maryland, Janis embarked on a journey that led to a diverse skill set, including database engineering and administration, website development, and crafting both desktop and mobile applications. Janis is a proud alumnus of Frostburg State University, where a strong foundation was laid for a remarkable career in software engineering. 

Notably, the most rewarding aspect of Janis’s career has been the opportunity to coach and mentor interns and entry-level software engineers. Sharing knowledge, insights, and practical wisdom with the next generation of tech talent has been a passion that has left a lasting impact.

With her wealth of experience and a commitment to nurturing talent, Janis is not just a software engineer but a mentor, guiding the future of the tech industry. Join Janis on this exciting journey of innovation, learning, and growth. 

Jeremy DeWitt

Treasurer

Meet Jeremy DeWitt, an accomplished professional and dedicated board member with a profound commitment to the mission of our non-profit organization. Jeremy brings a unique blend of technical expertise, real-world experience, and a personal journey that amplifies their passion for supporting non-traditional students in their professional development.

Bonnie Farries

Secretary

Bonnie Farries has over 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors in both management and consulting roles. She has held numerous senior leadership positions, including Director of Institutional Planning at Lethbridge College, Chief Administrative Officer for numerous municipalities, and is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Owner at Privatenode LLC. Bonnie also has a Masters in Political Science from the University of Lethbridge.

She is highly sought after for her expertise in strategic planning, policy development, program management, and operational efficiency. Bonnie is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, and she firmly believes that strong communities are built from the ground up by committed individuals working together for the common good.
